Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the service you are being baptized.
Matthew 28:19-20 Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples. Baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to do everything I have told you. I will be with you always, even until the end of the world.
Why do Jesus followers get baptized? Well, Jesus commanded us to do so – not so that you and I could be saved, that can only happen through Jesus’ blood – and, there is no saving power in water.
We participate in baptism, not for salvation, but for submission.
• It is our outward act of submission to God.
• Water Baptism is an EXTERNAL expression of and INTERNAL experience
Some things to note:
1. Wear something for the water. Most wear modest shorts, but you may wear long pants if you like.
2. Baptism occurs EARLY in the service during Worship- come dressed for Baptism
3. We will provide Compassion Baptism T-shirts for you to change into before Baptism
4. Bring a dry change of clothing
5. Bring a bath towel(s) for drying
6. Bring a plastic bag for wet articles
7. Men may go to the Men’s Restroom – off the side of Worship Center
8. Women may go to the Women’s Restroom – down the middle hallway and to the right at the end of hallway
9. Then join us in the Worship Center for the remainder of the service
